A service for Helen R. Postawko, 92, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes in Sun City West, Ariz.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today at Camino Del Sol in Sun City.

Mrs. Postawko died Sept. 26, 2004, at Hospice Family Care in Peoria, Ariz. She was born Sept. 15, 1912, in West New York, N.J., to Harry and Jennie Standen.

She married James Dillon.

For 32 years, she lived in the New York area, where she owned her own business.

Mrs. Postawko moved to Carson City in 1944, and married Leon Postawko. She was active in St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community and was a devout Catholic. She was an executive secretary for the federal government and a Realtor.

She moved to Sun City West in 1978, where she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and Johnson's Lawn Bowlers Club. She and her husband won several medals as partners in the Senior Olympics.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Nadeline Standen, Genevieve Rowand, Frances Harvey, Ruth Moore, Harry Standen, Edward Standen; husband of 51 years, Leon; and daughters Eileen McKnight and Peggy Knox.

Among her survivors are her brother, John Standen; grandchildren Marilyn White, Joanne Chimeri, Jack McKnight, James McKnight, Craig Knox and Marcia Knudsen; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
