Mary DeLury, 96, a Bridgeport, Calif., resident for the past 69 years, died July 23, 2005, in Gardnerville. She was born June 5, 1909, in Bridgewater, Va., to William Homer and Gertrude Zigler.

Mrs. DeLury was a registered nurse at Mono General Hospital for 50 years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Eastern Star in Bridgeport. She was a member of the Bridgeport Baptist Church.

She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and taking walks.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George C. DeLury Jr., in 1987.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Dale E. and Sharon of Irvine, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene E. and Coy Ziglar of Bridgeport; brother, Carl Zigler of Harrisonburg, Va.; grandchildren Doug and Don Ziglar and Michele DeLury; and great-grandchildren Hunter, Montana, Calvin and Zane Ziglar.

A memorial service will be held in Bridgeport, and burial will be at the Bridgeport Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
