Nevada hunting seasons are opening and closing

Here is what will be happening in the Nevada hunting world:

• Sept. 1 - Opening day of the American Crow Fall hunting season. This season will close on November 17.

• Sept. 1 - Opening day of the Mourning and White Wing Dove hunting season. This season will close on Sept. 30.

• Sept. 1 - Opening day of the Special Falconry hunting season. This season will close on January 31.

• Sept. 2 - Deadline at 5 p.m. for applying for the Fall season wild turkey hunt.

• Sept. 3 - Opening day of the Blue and Ruffed Grouse hunting season in all counties, except Churchill, Clark, Mineral, Pershing and Storey. This season will close on Nov. 30.

• Sept. 3 - Opening day of the Snowcock (Himalayan Snow Partridge) hunting season in Units 101, 102 and 103 of Elko County and that portion of White Pine County in Unit 103. This season will close on Nov. 30.

• Sept. 5 - Closing day of the "Any Legal Weapon antelope (horns longer than ears) hunting season in all applicable management areas, except No. 033 (Early).
