A inurnment service for Thomas A. Brackney, 92, a Carson City resident, will be at 9 a.m. today at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.

Mr. Brackney died Nov. 14, 2005, at the Carson Convalescent Center. He was born Aug. 10, 1913, in Montana, to Thomas E. and Louisa Hill Brackney.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Montana.

Mr. Brackney was a rancher.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by sisters Mary and Nova Brackney and brothers Louis and Kerry.

Among his survivors are his niece Nova Brackney of Tennessee; nephews Gunner and Steven Brackney, both of Winnemucca; great-nieces Brandi Brackney of Washington, Ricki Tugmon of Oklahoma Stevie Koestner of Battle Mountain and Teresa Brackney; and great-nephews Phillip Brackney and Herbert Brackney.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
