A memorial service for James Donald Mason, 70, of Stagecoach will be at 11 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's.

Mr. Mason died Dec. 10, 2005, at his home. He was born March 23, 1935, in Cuba, Ill., to Harry and Iva Baldwin Mason.

He married Helen Elaine Denison on March 30, 1973.

Mr. Mason was supervisor of Arch Coal Co. of Illinois for 26 years and Hodges Transportation for 12 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his son Robert.

Among his survivors are his wife of Stagecoach; sons Stephen of Maquon, Ill., and Scott of Gilson, Ill.; daughter, Sheri Wooten of Honeapath, S.C.; stepson John Brasche of Mound House; stepdaughters Kathy Douglas of Walsenburg, Colo., Rosemary Brasche of Corpus Christi, Texas, Becky Hunter of Joliet, Ill., and Sue Sisneros of Clinton, Iowa; brothers Arlan of Galesburg, Ill., David of Maquon and Myron of Yates City, Ill.; 27 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended-family members.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
