A memorial service for Robert R. Pease, 89, a Dayton resident for the past 16 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Dayton Senior Center.

Mr. Pease died Feb. 10, 2005, at home.

He was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Rochester, Minn., to Homer and Bessie Cornforth Pease.

Before coming to Dayton he lived in Ridgecrest, Calif.

He married Joy Haugen March 10,1973, in Las Vegas.

Mr. Pease served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He was a navigator in a B-25, and flew 50 missions over Italy. He enjoyed eagles and airplanes and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Among his survivors are his wife of Dayton; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Debbie Gale of Flagstaff, Ariz.; sons George Richardson of The Dalles, Ore., and Robert Pease II and Leslie Pease, both of California; daughters and sons-in-law Marty and Bob Freilick and Diana and Peter Zemp, all of Carson City, Barbara and George DeLawyer of Klamath Falls, Ore., Sharon and Jim Steipan of Irvine, Calif., and Ruth and John Silva of Oroville, Calif.; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Cremation is at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
