Ella Ryan Davis, 93, a Minden resident for many years, died Jan. 3, 2005, in Minden. She was born Oct. 11, 1911, in St. Louis to William and Lotta Palmer Ryan.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She loved watching her granddaughter train and show her Arabian horses.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. John H. Davis, U.S. Army Ret.; and son, Capt. John Davis, U.S. Army Ret.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Martin Johnson of Minden; and granddaughter, Deborah Johnson of Reno.
A private family graveside service was held in the Genoa Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
