Purchase your special someone a 3-pound box of assorted See's chocolates for $30 and save $10 at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center. If you want a heart-shaped box or a 1-pound box, they have it all. All the proceeds go back to sponsor the center.

The "Feast of Chocolate" is presented by the Capitol Branch of American Association of University Women Feb. 19. This annual event has delectable treats of all-you-can-eat chocolate. Every girl's dream: Great chocolate and helping raise funds for young women go to college. Organizer Pam Suchsland says, "It's not to be missed."

Sunset Rotary's "Affair of the Heart" is a Valentine's night to remember. It includes a candlelight dinner with your choice of salmon or steak, photos, silent and raffle auctions and dancing the night away to live music. They only sell 100 tickets, so don't delay.

Carson Sertoma Club will host its annual Game Feed Feb. 18 at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center. There will be a door prize of a new shotgun, a raffle of wild-game food, plus drinks and the Bud Girls as hostesses.

Soroptimist International of Carson is hosting the second annual "Night at the Oscars" Feb. 27. Ladies, get the formals out, furs ready and the diamonds cleaned because the champagne will be flowing. Last year, single gentlemen who showed up received a lot of attention.
