Drew Moreland turned in an outstanding pitching performance and doubled, but it wasn't enough in the loss for the Carson National 11s.
Ty Welch doubled twice and made two outstanding catches in center field. Rory Peterson also had a hit and played excellent defense at shortstop as well. Max Keller added a hit and Josh Gogna pitched a scoreless inning in relief for Carson, which plays at 4 p.m. today against Truckee.
