A memorial service for Verle Lyman Wilber, 76, a Carson City resident for the past 36 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church, corner of Saliman and Railroad streets.

Mr. Wilber died July 11, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Gypsum, Colo., to Basil and Elsie Rambow Wilber.

He married Mary on Aug. 8, 1953, in Reno.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Sparks.

Mr. Wilber owned A&W Radiator Repair.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Phyllis Walker, Claire Snow and Doris Seidler.

Among his survivors are his wife; daughter Kathryn Colleen Swain of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Janice Gail and William Helmstetter of Victorville, Calif.; grandson and wife Bobby H. III and Angela Swain of Carson City; granddaughter, Shonda Gail Helmstetter of Macon, Ga.; and numerous extended-family members.
