Alice R. Davis, 93, a Carson City resident for the past three years, died July 13, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 9, 1911, in Grand Island, Neb., to Henry C. and Mattie Rosencrans.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Placerville, Calif.

Mrs. Davis was a registered nurse and a homemaker.

She was an active member of the P.E.O. of Placerville.

Among her survivors are her children Dorothy Mason of Honolulu, Dr. Henry Davis of Tacoma, Wash., Marka Hemphill of Susanville, Calif., Bonnie Ozaki-James of Honolulu and Paul A. Davis of Carson City; 25 grandchildren including Jennifer Lopiccolo of Carson City, Rebecca Wycoff of Dayton and Bonnie Smith of Wadsworth; and 38 great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

A private family service will be at a later date.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
