A funeral Mass for Margaret F. Culverhouse, 79, a Minden resident for the past nine years, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community.

Mrs. Culverhouse died July 24, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Dec. 14, 1925, in Washington, D.C., to Salvatore and Frances Picataggi Chisari.

She married William F. Culverhouse Aug. 18, 1955, in Donaldsonville, Ga.

Before moving to Minden, she lived in Las Vegas for 23 years.

Mrs. Culverhouse was a HUD processor. She enjoyed playing Slingo on the Internet and using her e-mail. She was famous for her spaghettis.

She served in the U.S. Air Force as a drill instructor.

Among her survivors are her husband of Minden; children Fran Culverhouse of Carson City and Joanne Culverhouse of Laguna Beach, Calif.; sister, Lee Hardesty of Westminster, Md.; nephew Bud Hardesty and nieces Kathy Phillips and Patty Rutkowski.

Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Nevada, 4680 S. Polaris, Suite 250, Las Vegas 89103 in her name.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
