Palmer B. Haugen, 73, a Gardnerville resident for the past 11 years, died May 27, 2005, in Reno. He was born Nov. 13, 1931, in Newport, Wash., to Palmer B. Sr. and Nettie Olsen Haugen.
Mr. Haugen was an electrical supervisor for the state of California Department of Water Resources.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Among his survivors are his wife, Elaine of Gardnerville; and daughters Marianne and Lynne.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice of Reno for cancer research.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
