Peewee quads packed a punch at Carson City Raceway

Peewee Quads ran a special exhibition race at the AMA-sanctioned Carson City Raceway at Fuji Park May 21, along with their Open Pro Quad counterparts, and the race fans roared with approval.

Many race fans contacted raceway management to voice their approval.

"While our pro racing divisions offer genuine, top-shelf racing action, the peewee program is giving our pro racers a serious run for their money," said Jeb Onweiler, owner/operator of Carson City Raceway at Fuji Park.

"When Mayor Teixeira cut the red ribbon at our grand opening on April 9, the DC Motorsports Peewee Speedway racers proved to be a huge hit with the fans, and the peewee quads seem to be following suit. So we've decided that because the quads, both divisions, stay well under our decibel restrictions, why not let them race with us the rest of the season?"

Waiting for that decision to be made was Party Supplies & Rentals, who immediately stepped up and offered sponsorship of the new series.

"I want to thank co-owners Tami Womack and Jan Naillon for their unwavering support in 2005," Onweiler said.

"Party Supplies & Rentals is a family owned and operated business in Carson City and this new partnership will be a great addition to our rapidly expanding list of community sponsors and supporters. I encourage all racers and fans to keep Party Supplies & Rentals in mind when planning that special party or occasion."

Party Supplies & Rentals is at 2350 S. Carson St., Suite 3. The phone number is 887-1100.

"Jan and I are proud to support the Carson City Raceway and the new peewee quad series," Womack said.

"It provides an exciting and professionally supervised venue for the kids to enjoy and that's very important to both of us."
