NDOW trout fishing clinic on the Truckee River

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) will be conducting a special, trout fishing clinic on the Truckee River on Saturday, June 18.

Participants are requested to meet at the Crystal Peak Park in Verdi, west of Reno.

The clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to noon. It is geared to entry-level anglers and is free to all participants. Instructors will demonstrate basic spinning and fly fishing techniques for trout.

There is a minimum age of 10 to attend. A parent or guardian must accompany all children. Ages 12 and up are required to have a valid Nevada fishing license and a Nevada Trout Stamp.

Pre-registration is required.

The clinic class size is limited to 20, first-come, first-served.

Participants are requested to provide their own tackle.
