Fly fishing for carp offered on Saturday

The Nevada Division of Wildlife (NDOW) is sponsoring a free, fly-fishing-for-carp clinic on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.

Mike Sevon, NDOW regional supervisory fisheries biologist, will demonstrate techniques and equipment for fly fishing for carp.

The clinic is geared for beginning and intermediate fly fishers.

There is a minimum age of 10 years to participate. A parent or guardian must accompany all children under the age of 16.

Pre-Registration is required.

The clinic is limited to the first 20 sign-ups on a first-come, first served basis.

Participants are requested to provide their own tackle.

A fishing license is require for all who are 12 years of age or older.

Meet at the NDOW Fallon Office at 380 W. "B" St. and then proceed to the fishing location.
