Otto R. Renner, 83, a 20-year Carson City resident, died June 19, 2005, in Carson City.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Mr. Renner was born May 21, 1922, to Orville and Opel Renner in Independence, Kan.

Prior to living in Carson City he resided in Fernley.

Mr. Renner was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army; member of the Disabled American Veterans and member of the American Postal Workers Union.

He worked at several post offices in Reno; his last assignment was at Washington Station, retiring in 1984.

He was an automobile enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, in 1998.

Among his survivors are friends Helen Townsend of Carson City and Ozzie and Ethel McCauley of Joplin, Mo.

Burial will be at Walton's Carson Gardens in Carson City.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
