Tough day for local Little Leaguers

Jacob McClelland went 2-for-3 with a triple, but it wasn't enough for the Carson American 9-10-year-old Renegades as they lost to Reno American West 11-4 on Saturday in the district Little League baseball tournament at Edmonds Park.


Michael Patrick was 2-for-2 with a double and Billy Goularte added a hit for Carson American.

In other action, Carson Valley beat the Carson National Hooligans 11-12 team 15-0 and Reno Continental defeated the Carson American Hooligans 11-0. Billy Canfield doubled and Seth Rojas added a hit for Carson American.


In today's games, the Carson National Renegades will play Truckee at 1 p.m., the Carson National Hooligans will play Sparks National at 3:30 and the Carson American Hooligans will play Truckee at 6.
