Esther Erma Beverly, 93, a Carson City resident, died March 5, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Nov. 6, 1911, in Dunsmuir, Calif., to William and Erma Frances Shipe Engle.

She graduated from Berkeley High School in 1929.

She lived in Nevada for more than 20 years, coming from Downey, Calif. Prior to that, she lived in Berkeley, Calif.

Mrs. Beverly was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and raising her children.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Charles Brown in 1942, second husband Stephen Arthur Beverly in 1970 and daughter, Anita Klienman, in 2003.

Among her survivors are sons and daughters-in-law Richard and June Beverly of Melrose, Fla., Fred and Sharon Brown of Carson City, Richard Douglas and Carol Brown of Silver City, Stephen and Ratna Beverly of New Caledonia, David and Connie Beverly of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., and Joe and Siuman Beverly of Reno; daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Stephen Crawford of Silver City; daughter, Phyllis Esther Beverly of Reno; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
