The victims of a fiery collision north of Yerington have been identified.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Nathaniel Leach, 35, of Silver Springs was southbound on Highway 95A four miles north of Yerington on Thursday when his 1997 Ford truck traveled into the path of a northbound tractor trailer driven by David Rossiter, 25, of Springfield, Ore.

Trooper James Farmer said the tractor trailer ignited upon impact and overturned, trapping Rossiter inside. Leach's pickup came to a rest on the west shoulder.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no signs of drugs or alcohol found, Farmer said. The NHP is continuing its investigation.
