The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 44-year-old texturer from Yerington was arrested at 10:11 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor destruction of property and drunken pedestrian. Bail was set at $739.


• A 26-year-old concrete worker from Carson City was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. He allegedly struck his wife twice with a belt when she wouldn't go to lunch with him. Bail was set at $3,132.


• A 37-year-old nurse from Carson City was arrested at 11:59 p.m. Sunday at Bath and Division streets on suspicion of misdemeanor driving while under the influence of drugs, failure to maintain lane and speeding. Bail was set at $1,302.


• Virgil Wiswell, 23, a transient, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony probation violation. No bail was set.


• A 29-year-old roofer from Carson City was arrested at 7:04 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of North Fall Street on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.


• Ryan Lee Hall, a 28-year-old flagger with no fixed address, was arrested at 10:52 a.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of Eastwood Drive on suspicion of felony failure to appear on a drug possession charge. No bail was set.




n Deputies responded to the following calls:


• A woman was found asleep on rocks behind a grocery store Friday at 3:29 p.m. She was taken into protective custody.


• A man reported Saturday at 12:44 a.m. he was bitten on the finger by someone in the 400 block of Hot Springs Road.


• Six subjects were throwing things at the train and cursing the crew at Mills Park on Saturday at 5:21 p.m. One person was arrested.


• A mother and daughter were seen fighting Saturday at 10:48 p.m. in front of the Carson-Tahoe Hospital emergency room.


• Five men forcibly stole a motorized scooter from a person in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road about 3 p.m. Sunday.


• A wallet and scooter were found Sunday at 8:03 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of East Fifth Street.
