The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Frank Edward Dennis, 59, a security worker from Carson City, was arrested Monday at 10:16 p.m. at the Horseshoe Club in the 600 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony burglary. A deputy reported spotting a man who fit the description of one who took a rare coin from Old Mint Coin and Bullion. The witness identified the suspect, and he was arrested. Bail was set at $2,500.

• Torrey McCullough, 39, a clerk from Carson City, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. Monday on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property when found with a $2,000 ring that the victim allegedly saw on the hand of an acquaintance. The acquaintance identified the suspect. Bail was set at $25,000.

• Rodney Vonbehren, 40, a tire installer from Topaz Lane in Gardnerville, was arrested at 7 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of East Musser Street for suspicion of misdemeanor criminal contempt. Bail was set at $500 cash.

• Kimberly Teran, 19, of Carson City, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the 3200 block of Market Street on suspicion of felony grand larceny. The suspect was allegedly observed by security at Wal-Mart picking up CDs and jewelry from different displays and placing them in a handbag, then leaving the store without paying for them. Security detained the suspect and called the Carson City Sheriff's Department.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

• A vehicle burglary was reported on Industrial Parkway in Mound House at 12:51 p.m. Monday.

• A motor vehicle accident and was reported at Highway 208 and Wilson Canyon in Mason Valley at 6:56 p.m. Monday.

• A woman reported seeing a dark- colored horse with a broken front right leg at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday on State Route 341. The brand inspector was called in.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

• A man reported at 10:11 a.m. Monday that he heard two shots fired with a high-powered rifle within about three minutes. He later called back to say he hadn't heard any more and to cancel services.

• A man called to report a pit bull in his yard at 3:23 p.m. Monday. He said he was concerned because he had three children and a dog. The pit bull was returned to its residence.

• A caller reported at 3:36 p.m. Monday that a "guy was driving like a bat outta hell" and hit an embankment between the microwave tower and the emergency phone on Geiger Grade. The driver was cited by the Nevada Highway Patrol.
