A service for Harry J. Platt, 71, a Carson City resident, will be at noon Saturday at Cargain Funeral Home in Carmel, N.Y.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
Mr. Platt died Nov. 8, 2005, in Mahopac, N.Y. He was born April 26, 1934, in Bronx, N.Y., to Harry and Anne Platt.
He graduated from Briarcliff High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho.
Mr. Platt was the former general manager of the Reno Silver Sox and Reno Padres minor league baseball club. He was a former aide and friend to the late Gov. "Mike" O'Callaghan and his family.
He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by sister Therese Brennan and brothers-in-law Kevin F. Brennan and Steve R. Schnalzer.
Among his survivors are his sister Barbara Schnalzer; eight nieces and nephews and dear friend Ellie Stephen.
