It was a cold December morning, 1946, in Minneapolis, Minn., and, not feeling well, I went for a bumpy ride in the afternoon. That night I went to the hospital. In the a.m. of Dec. 23, I gave birth to my son, 6 lbs. 2 oz. of happiness, and perfect in every way.
He's a miracle from heaven I shall never forget, and every Christmas I think what a blessing it was.
In fact, his name is Dan Montgomery and he's a pressman for the Reno-Gazette Journal and has been there for 36 years.
