The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Ross Cohone, a 29-year-old transient, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Monday at Mervyn's on suspicion of gross misdemeanor attempted grand larceny. He was allegedly captured on surveillance attempting to break into a jewelry case. His bail was set at $2,500.

• Joseph Neal Wotisky, 35, a construction worker from Carson City, was arrested at 12:18 p.m. Monday at Nye Lane and Airport Road on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property and misdemeanor driving without a license. His bail was set at $25,632.

• Joseph Arthur Calloway, 22, a painter from Carson City, was arrested at 9:04 a.m. Monday at Gardengate and Imperial lanes on suspicion of sex offender failure to register. Calloway, who has a conviction for statutory sexual seduction, was registered at an address in the 3100 block of Bunch Way. The homeowner said he hasn't lived there in a month, according to the arrest report.

n Deputies responded to the following calls:

• A vehicle went down a ravine at Timberline Drive and Combs Canyon Road at 9:25 a.m. Monday. The driver was uninjured.

• A motorcyclists and vehicle collided at 9:41 a.m. Monday at John and Curry streets after the driver ran a stop sign. The motorcyclist refused medical attention.

• A man was spotted taking pictures of the rear of the jail at 3 p.m. Monday.

• A man was found bleeding profusely from his mouth, the result of a fight, at Pheasant and Edmonds drives at 7:52 p.m. The victim had two warrants. He was taken to the hospital.

• A man reported his neighbor battered him at 9:11 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Jeanell Drive. He suffered a laceration over his left eye that caused his eye to swell shut.

• A 13-year-old girl was arrested for domestic battery after she hit her 9-year-old sibling at 10:10 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive.

• A man reported at 6:18 a.m. his girlfriend beat him up over drugs at a motel in the 2700 block of South Carson Street. The caller admitted he too was on meth.

• A utility vehicle was stolen from the 400 block of East College Parkway sometime between Monday and Tuesday at 7:34 a.m.

• A 7-year-old boy walked into Sears in the 3900 block of North Carson Street unaccompanied at 11:17 a.m. He said his brother was watching him. Police called Child Protective Services and discovered there was already a case involving this family.

Lyon County

Deputies responded to the following calls Monday:

• An accident in the 400 block of West Main Street in Fernley at 1:53 a.m. A misdemeanor arrest was made.

• An accident on Highway 50 East in Mound House at 6:38 a.m. The person declined medical attention against medical advice.

• A misdemeanor arrest on Bridge Street in Mason Valley at 7:41 a.m.

• A suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of Highway 95A in Silver Springs at 2:24 p.m.

• A harassing or obscene phone call on Agate Drive in Mason Valley at 3:09 p.m.

• A battery on Kit Kat Road in Mound House at 5:58 p.m.

• Child in need of supervision at Scolari's in Fernley at 7:26 p.m.

• An accident on Interstate 80 West at mile marker 56 in Fernley at 9:10 p.m.

• An intoxicated subject in the 600 block of Surprise Avenue at 11:01 p.m. in Yerington.

Storey County

Deputies responded to the following calls Monday:

• A vehicle with a flat tire at 11:47 a.m. at the Lockwood offramp on Interstate 80.

• A teacher advised at 1:01 p.m. her class would be shooting off rockets.

• An inmate was transported to the doctor at 3:52 p.m. for a rash.

• Attempting to locate a suspect in a battery at 6:21 p.m.

• An "older kid" came to a home on Canyon Way at 7:51 p.m. allegedly collecting money for the school for Hurricane Katrina relief. "Husband gave him $5, but then they got to thinking that it's kind of late and it's dark and were wondering if it was on the up and up."

• A woman on Washington Street reported at 12:48 a.m. Tuesday hearing "bumps" on her back porch, on and off for last half hour. A deputy investigated and found it was a the wind banging a door against the house.

• Thursday, Richard Lee Person, 50, of Virginia City, turned himself in at the Storey County Jail on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine. He promptly posted the $2,500 bail and was released.
