Michael M. O'Neil, 66, a Carson City resident, died April 12, 2006, in the Veteran Affairs H.J. Heinz Progressive Care Facility in Pittsburgh, Pa., after a brief illness.

Mr. O'Neil was born May 11, 1939, to Daniel E. and Edna F. Kress O'Neil.

He was a driver for Capitol Cab Co. He was a former casino dealer and had managed several fast-food restaurants in Pennsylvania and New York.

He served in the U.S. Navy and had graduated from the Navy Communications School at Bainbridge, Md.

He was preceded in death by brother Kieran Daniel O'Neil.

Among his survivors are brothers and sisters-in-law Thomas and Marjorie O'Neil of Allison Park, Pa., Lawrence and Roberta O'Neil and Dennis and Marian O'Neil, all of New Kensington, Pa., and Timothy and Therese O'Neil of North Apollo, Pa.; sisters and brothers-in-law Maureen and Joseph Lombardo of Penn Hills, Pa., and Eileen and Ed Nemet, of Upper Burrell Township, Pa.; former sister-in-law Diana Smay, of Natrona Heights, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation took place Thursday at the Rusiewicz Funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Arnold, Pa.

Rusiewicz Funeral Home in Lower Burrell, Pa., is in charge of arrangements.
