A memorial service for Wilda Taysom, 67, a Carson City resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Taysom died April 12, 2006, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 23, 1938, in Clarkston, Wash., to Howard and Laura Smith.

She married Don Taysom in 1975.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Silver Springs.

She enjoyed Shakespeare on the Beach at Tahoe, reading, chocolate cake and feeding birds.

She worked at City Cafe Bakery in Carson City for many years.

She was a Presbyterian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Camille Smith.

Among her survivors are her husband of Sparks; daughter Janice D. Culler of Spokane, Wash.; son Shawn Stuker, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and five grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
