Georgia Mae Edens, 77, a 20-year resident of Carson City, died Feb. 4, 2006, at her home. She was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Great Falls, Mont., to Walter Benema and Eva Bersanti.

She married Reginald Edens on March 4, 1947, in Great Falls.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in South Lake Tahoe for four years, coming from Great Falls.

She worked as a change person in local grocery stores. She enjoyed crocheting, playing poker and spending time with friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband in June 1978; grandson Reginald Kittelman in April 1986, and a sister.

Among her survivors are her daughters Constance Edens of Carson City and Eva Jane Wiatrak of Spokane, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law Regina and David Mahaffey of Carson City; sister Joyce Scott of San Bernardino, Calif., three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 520 W. Sixth St., Reno, NV 89503.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
