Tigersharks shine in local meet

Tallon Rauch won four events for the Carson Tigersharks as their own Winterfest concluded on Sunday at the Carson Aquatic Center.

The meet featured clubs from Northern Nevada and Northeast California. Rauch won the boys 8 and under Boys 100-yard individual medley in one minute, 37.33 seconds, the 50 buttlerfly in 50.92, the 50 freestyle in 37.36 and the 25 backstroke in 21.08.

Abby Niehoff was also a triple winner for Carson. She won the 13-14 girls 500 free (5.11.88), the 100 free (56.65) and the 100 fly (1:01.83). In addition, Matt Grunert won the 15-18 boys 200 breaststroke (2:25.15), Kevin Dyer won the 15-18 boys 200 back (2:11.33) and Jamie Engan won the 15-18 girls 100 fly (1:04.37). Other top finishes for Carson were:
