Gillenwater a double winner

Michaela Gillenwater was a double winner to help lead the Carson Tigersharks in a strong effort at a meet in South Tahoe this past weekend.

Gillenwater won the 9-10 girls 100-yard individual medley in 1 minute, 17.29 seconds and the 50 breaststroke in 40.29. Gillenwater was also second in the 50 backstroke in 35.81, second in the 50 free in 31.99, fourth in the 50 fly in 36.07, third in the 100 back in 1:16.91, second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:28.16, fifth in the 100 freestyle in 1:10.38 and third in the 100 fly in 1:26.35.

Also for the Tigersharks in 13-14 boys, Albert Reed took third in the 200 I.M. in 2:36.85, second in the 200 backstroke in 2:30.70, third in the 100 butterfly in 1:17.15, third in the 100 back in 1:13.91, fifth in the 100 free in 1:04.28 and sixth in the 25 freestyle in 13.88.

In 11-12 boys, Arnold Flores was sixth in the 100 I.M. in 1:21.93. second in the 100 fly in 1:26.79 and third in the 50 breaststroke in 41.65. In 11-12 girls, Sophie Holmes was fourth in the 50 breaststroke in 46.14.

In 7-8 girls, Caitlin Campbell was fourth in the 25 back in 26.62 and fifth in the 25 fly in 28.42 and second in the 50 back in 59.58.
