Betty J. Soyland, 79, a Gardnerville resident, died June 2, 2006, in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Soyland was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Chicago to Garfield and Alyce Nielsen.
She married Richard B. Soyland on Dec. 20, 1952, in Pasadena, Calif.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived at South Lake Tahoe.
She was the owner of Meyers Trophy Loft.
She belonged to the Sons of Norway and the South Lake Tahoe Yacht Club.
Among her survivors are her husband of Gardnerville; daughters Patti Tholen of Gardnerville, Lauri Pearl of Gardnerville and Jodi Peck of Visalia, Calif.; son Rick Soyland of Gardnerville; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
