A memorial service for George Reece Harrill, 42, a 41-year resident of Carson City, will be at 1:05 p.m. June 24 at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mr. Harrill died June 5 at his home of cancer. He was born Oct. 12, 1963, in Fort Ord., Calif. to Patsy and Jim Harrill.

He married Barbara Julian on March 31, 1984, in Carson City.

He was a graduate of Carson High School and had attended Western Nevada Community College. He was one of the youngest mechanics in the nation to earn his NIASE certification.

He was in the rental business for more than 25 years. He also ran the pro bowling shop at Carson Lanes.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a member of the Builders Association for many years. He sponsored teams in Little League, Pop Warner, and the city's basketball league. He enjoyed cooking.

Among his survivors are his wife; daughter Jessica Harrill of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Monique and Cpl. Christopher Buchheister of Walker, Calif.; parent, of Carson City; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Betty Harrill of Shoreline, Wash.; brother Scott Harrill of Carson City; one grandson; three nephews; three nieces; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Cancer Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
