Crosstumblers Gymnastics finished their compulsory season by taking several honors at the Springfest Invitational held on Saturday in Reno.

Ten-year-old Madison Foley led the Crosstumblers team as she performed her Level 4 routines for the last time. With an all around score of 35.60 she met all of her personal goals, but one.

"Madison came into the meet with the goals to earn a 9.4 on vault, 9.0 on the other three events, and to not fall," coach Steffany Walker said. "She met all of them except the 9.0 on beam. We'll have to work on that."

Foley's vault score of 9.4 not only earned her the gold medal in her age group, but was the highest score awarded to any Level 4 gymnast in the meet. She also placed second on uneven bars (9.0), fourth on floor exercise (9.0), eighth on balance beam (8.2), and fourth in the all around.

Also competing in the Level 4 division was Shannon Brazil who earned seventh on beam (8.35) and eighth on bars (8.35). Brazil placed 10th in the all around with a combined score of 32.80.

Level 6 gymnast Michelle McDonald placed eighth in the all-around and fourth

on beam (8.45).

Level 7 gymnast Gina Gallo performed exhibition routines at the competition, however, did not compete for awards.

This was the last USA Gymnastics sanctioned competition for the Crosstumblers girls' team this season. The team will now begin to prepare for the USAIGC optional competitions which begin in April.
