Mervin Thomas Brown, 68, a yearlong Yerington resident, died March 25, 2006, at his home.

Mr. Brown was born April 9, 1937, in Jamestown, Colo., to Emette and Jessie Brenton Brown.

He lived in the Fish Springs area and the Big Pine, Calif., area for several years before moving to Yerington.

He worked for Bishop Engineers and as an auto painter for Inyo-Mono Body.

Among his survivors are his wife, Loretta, of Yerington; daughters Patricia Acosta of Carson City and Jessie Cornforth of Fish Lake Valley; son, Shawn of Silver Springs; brothers Emmett and Robert, both of Silver Springs; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services will be held.

Cremation took place at Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.

Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
