A memorial service for Helen Austie Eiche, 84, a Carson City resident since 1948, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Carson City Masonic Lodge No. 1, 113 E. Washington St.

Mrs. Eiche died Nov. 6, 2006, at Evergreen Convalescent Home. She was born April 12, 1923, in San Bernardino, Calif., to Francis and Nettie Bond.

She attended San Bernardino Senior High School.

She married Clarence S. Eiche in 1947, in San Bernardino.

She worked as a clerk for the U.S. Army Air Field Office in San Bernardino, the Nevada National Guard, the Nevada State Engineer and the Nevada State Park Commission.

She was titled Worthy Matron for Eastern Star and Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls.

She enjoyed camping, painting and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law John R. and Barbara K. Eiche; daughter and son-in-law Helen L. and Russ Wilde; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Memorial donations may be made to the Wild Animal Sanctuary, 2920 Eagle St., Carson City, NV, 89704.

Burial will take place in the Masonic section of Lone Mountain Cemetery.
