8 a.m.-5 p.m. Bidding open for the Festival of Trees fundraiser at the Nevada State Library and Archives, 200 N. Stewart St.


7:30 p.m. "Carols and Lullabies" performance by Bella Voce Women's Chorus, Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 W. King St. $15 general admission, $12 for BAC members, seniors and students.


7:30 p.m. "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus" performance by Carson Performing Arts, Brewery Arts Center Reynolds Theatre, 449 W. King St. $8 general admission, $7 for BAC members, students and seniors, $5 for children and CHS students with ID.


Saturday


The "Christmas Star" will be performed by students at St. Teresa's Catholic School at the church on Lompa Lane at 11 a.m. A fundraiser for the school, you will get to see the show and have lunch for $10 (children are free). Call 882-1968.


Toys for Tots Drive-by Drop off, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Lowe's Home Improvement Center, 430 Fairview Drive. Live radio broadcast with 99.1 FM talk radio. Also, cards at the registers can be purchased for $1 and up. Toys donated to the Toys for Tots program. Call 881-2460, ext. 371.


2 p.m. "Peanutcracker" ballet performance by Sierra Nevada Ballet, Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St. $10 general admission, $5 for BAC members, seniors and students.

4:30 p.m. Christmas Parade of Lights, line up at the Fourth Ward School, in Virginia City. Parade starts at 5 p.m.


1 p.m. "Ebenezer Scrooge - Jazz'd Up Like the Dickens!," Piper's Opera House, 12 N. B St., Virginia City.

1-6 p.m. Victorian Home Christmas Tour, 12 locations throughout Carson City. $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and students ages 13-18, $5 for children ages 5-12.
