Ruby Mae Beghtel

Ruby Mae Beghtel, a Fallon resident since 1971, died Sept. 29, 2006, from injuries she sustained in a car accident in Dayton.

Mrs. Beghtel was born March 28, 1923, to Sylvester and Bertha Brown in Kansas City, Kan. The family lived in Stanton, Calif., where she attended school.

She worked as a slot change attendant for many years.

She enjoyed working, raising kids, fishing, gardening and making quilts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Beghtel; son Ronnie Culwell; sister Opal Gampst; and brothers, Carl and Dale Brown.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Mae and Kenny Beech of Fallon; son and daughter-in-law Larry and Sharon Pachert of Carson City; step-daughter and husband Arlene and Harry McDonald of Bend, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. Thursday at The Gardens Chapel, 2949 Austin Highway, Fallon. A gathering for family and friends to follow at The Gardens with interment to be at 2 p.m. at the Churchill County Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to Central Lyon County Burn Fund, 231 Corral Drive, Dayton, NV 89403.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery, 2949 Austin Highway, Fallon, NV 87406.
