Marine Corps Softball Game and Meal-Ready-to-Eat Class, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.., Carson High School Softball Field, 1111 N. Saliman Road. Play softball with the Marines of Carson City. Every second Saturday of every month, local Marine recruiters get together with some of the locals to play sports and give a class on what Marine Corps boot camp is like. This month is slow pitch softball with Sergeant Furlong giving a class on the MRE (Meal-Ready-to-Eat), the same meal the real Marines eat. First 20 people get a free meal. Call 450-8069.
