A memorial service for Norman Leroy Stewart, 75, an eight-year Yerington resident, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Highway 208 in Yerington. The Rev. Milton Carr will officiate.
Mr. Stewart died March 25, 2007, at the Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks. He was born Aug. 7, 1931, in Sioux City, Iowa.
He was a truck driver for most of his life.
Before moving to Yerington, Mr. Stewart lived for many years in Vacaville, Calif.
Among his survivors are children Shelly Curtis, Sherry Doherty, Kari Ferber, Tammy Bravo and JoAnne Hampton; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington is in charge of arrangements.
