BAC Stage Kids to present 'The Wiz'

The BAC Stage Kids announce the production of "The Wiz," an adaptation of the classic children's novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum. The show will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and April 13-15 in the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall.

A cast of more than 65 children ages 6 to 16 from all over the area play all the parts in this funkified version of everyone's favorite children's tale.

The show is produced and directed by Andie Anderson, new director of the BAC Stage Kids program. A former BAC Stage Kid herself, Anderson has been working in local theatre as a performer and director for the past 15 years.

"The Wiz" will be performed tonight, Saturday and April 13-14 at 7 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinee performances on Saturday, Sunday and April 14-15. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for BAC Members, students and seniors. Children under 3 are free if seated on a guardian's lap. Call 883-1976 or visit www.breweryarts.org. The BAC is at 511 W.
