Kevin W. Vukota, 56, a 24-year Carson City resident, died April 6, 2007, at his home.

Mr. Vukota was born Jan. 29, 1951, in Pleasanton, Calif., to Francis and Beverly Vukota.

He married Linda L. Vukota on July 16, 1971, in Livermore, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Vukota lived in Livermore.

He was the owner and operator of DeJay's Steam Carpet Cleaning and the co-owner of Critter Junction.

Among his survivors are his wife; sisters Fran Krohling and Patty Easley, both of Oregon; goddaughter, Morgan McKinney; nieces Shelly Campman and Theresa Farina; and nephew, Eric Pettibone.

Memorial donations may be made to pet rescue and no-kill adoption centers.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
