Game Notes: Konrad Schmidt has hit in eight consecutive WAC games and is .377 average is fourth in the WAC overall ... Shaun Kort, who is is tied for eighth in the WAC with seven multi-RBI games, is tied for eighth in hits (48) and first in triples (3). The last stat is a testament to his power, because Kort is one of the slower starters in Nevada's line-up ... Rodriguez is the WAC's active leader in wins (27), innings pitched (356 1/3) and strikeouts (300) ... Nevada had its 11-game home winning streak snapped last Thursday against Fresno State, and is 3-4 in its last seven games ... The Spartans are 6-1 in their last seven games ... SJSU hit .371 in its three-game series against Hawai'i ... McKimmy was a teammate of Kyle Howe in junior college ... Ryan Angel has not made an error in his last 247 chances dating back to 2005.
