A memorial service for Estelle Congestio, 91, a Carson City resident since 1976, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, in the small chapel.
Mrs. Congestio died April 14, 2007, in Carson City. She was born June 25, 1915, in Rochester, N.Y., to John and Anna Sorochty.
Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Congestio lived in Covina, Calif.
She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August Congestio, in March 2004.
Among her survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law Gloria and John Wohlborg of Mesa, Ariz., Elaine and Howard Fisher and Marlene and Tim Foster, all of Carson City; sisters Helen Piendel and Olga Schmansky, both of Rochester; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
