Carson man sought in teen's sex assault

Investigators are searching for a Carson City man wanted in the sexual assault of a girl over the course of three years.

Carson City Sheriff's Detective Dena Lacy said an arrest warrant has been issued for Enrique Montes Biramontes, 43, charging him with four felony counts of sexual assault of a child and four related felony counts.

According to court records, between February 2004 when the victim was 13 and August 2006 when the victim was 16, Biramontes sexually assaulted the girl in the hills near the Carson City dump.

The victim said Biramontes allegedly threatened to kill her mother and siblings if she told anyone, the report states.

Investigators were able to collect evidence at the scene of the last alleged assault, and in March testing determined both the victim's and Biramontes' DNA were present.

Biramontes denied the allegations when questioned by investigators in August.

When investigators obtained the warrant last week, Biramontes, a married father, could no longer be found, Lacy said.

She said Biramontes' wife, who took their children and left him when she learned of the allegations, also could not be located.

Enrique Biramontes is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Biramontes' whereabouts is asked to call the Carson City Sheriff's Department's Detective Division at 887-2020 ext. 1400. If convicted, Biramontes could spend life in prison without parole.
