CHS JVS SWEEP
Jaime Good pitched a no-hitter in a 16-0 win in the opener and Carson went on to sweep, beating Hug 20-4 in the nightcap.
In the opener, Christal Rains doubled and tripled, Marcella Watson tripled and Megan Hein, Melissa Coyle and Hannah Shaw all had two hits, including a double.
Sara Pope hit a leadoff home run in the nightcap as Carson (13-3-1 in league) banged out 21 hits. Watson had three hits, including a double and a triple, Hein was 4-for-4 with two doubles, Tami Conn had three hits and Rains had two hits, including a double. Coyle went the distance for the win, allowing six hits over five innings.
