Darrell J. Sinette, 81, a 30-year Mound House resident, died April 19, 2007, in Mound House.

Mr. Sinette was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Holcomb, Wis., to Trefly B. and Delia A. Sinette.

Before moving to Mound House, Mr. Sinette lived in San Fernando Valley, Calif.

He married Norma J. Sinette on Nov. 29, 1968, in Las Vegas.

He retired as an inspector for loss prevention at the California Department of Water and Power.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a shipfitter, second class.

He enjoyed bowling, fishing, bird watching, crossword puzzles and college sports.

He was preceded in death by his wife in Mound House in 2004.

Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law Brian and Tania Sinette of Riverside, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Darylyn Sinette-Diffenbaugh and John Diffenbaugh of Tehachapi, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law June and Vin McKinzie of Costa Mesa, Calif.; sister Marci Ezzell of Idaho; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
