A funeral for Lauritz "Babe" Jensen, 82, a 15-year Carson City resident, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Mr. Jensen died April 24, 2007, in Reno. He was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Mill Valley, Calif., to Lauritz and Bertha Jensen.
Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Jensen lived at South Lake Tahoe.
He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and enjoyed coaching baseball.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, and his wife, Merry Jensen, April 17, 2006.
Among his survivors are son Michael Jensen of Reno and grandchildren Darcy Storms of Seattle, Matthew Jensen of San Diego and Jeffrey Jensen of Salt Lake City.
Burial will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
