A funeral for Carole Ann Reese, 54, a 16-year Carson City resident, will be at 4 p.m. Monday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. A celebration of life picnic will be 11 a.m. May 12 at Mills Park. Friends are asked to bring food, stories and memories.

Mrs. Reese died April 25, 2007, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 27, 1952, in Van Nuys, Calif., to John Bleizeffer and Ethel Burke.

She married Michael Reese on Aug. 2, 1985.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Reese lived in Glendale, Calif.

She was a kindergarten teacher's aide for seven years at Fritsch Elementary School. She had also been named Cub Scout Den Leader of the Year.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, painting, crafts and decorating, music and reading.

Among her survivors are her mother of Reno; husband of 26 years of Carson City; son David Reese of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Dr. Lance Bruntz of Sparks; sisters Kathy Nolda of Tujunga, Calif., Robin Ballard of Upland, Calif., and Priscilla Muha of Oakland, Calif.; and grandson Landon Quentin Bruntz of Sparks.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
