Northern Nevada police and prison officials are searching for an inmate now listed as an escapee.
Richard Thomas was housed at the Northern Nevada Restitution Center in Reno. He failed to return from a community work site Friday and was officially listed as missing at 10:45 p.m.
Prison spokesman Greg Smith said as of late afternoon Monday, Thomas, 27, was still at-large. He is described as a 6-foot, 210 lb. Caucasian male with blond hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt. Thomas has a tattoo of a skull and woman with flames and smoke on his upper right arm.
Thomas was serving 1-5 years for grand larceny of a motor vehicle. He was convicted in Washoe County.
