Rachel P. Kilty, 87, a 30-year resident of Carson City died Aug. 20, 2007.
She was born Jan. 5, 1920, to David and Cristina Cranstoun in Glasgow, Scotland. She married Gilbert F. "Scotty" Kilty on July 31, 1949, in Las Vegas. She graduated from high school. She was a bookkeeper. Prior to moving to Carson City she lived in Los Angeles and Lake Tahoe. She worked at Harvey's for many years. She enjoyed her family, reading and camping.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 26, 1989, in Reno.
Among her survivors are sons and daughters-in-law Gary and Rhonda Kilty and Dale and Debi Kilty; brother and sister-in-law David and Ruth Cranstoun; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice or a charity of your choice.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
